This is from a line from a favorite hymn. To wend means to, “go in a specified direction, typically slowly or by an indirect route.”

Many of my life choices have taken me on indirect routes and it can seem like things are moving slowly. Sometimes I find myself becoming impatient. I love this reminder to go through life with joy, even when we’re on those indirect routes or when progress is slow. It’s the Lord and His grace that gives us joy during those times.
