How to add flourishing to a word or phrase
Watch the full YouTube tutorial here:
Supplies you'll need:
Ruler | Name Tag | Pen | Pencil
How to use them:
There are three places that work best for adding flourishes: 1. On ascenders or descenders (think lowercase b, d, f, h, k, l, t and g, j, p, q, y) 2. At the beginning and/or ending of a word or line 3. Underneath or around a word or phrase
I also like to use the NSEW concept. If I add something to the north side of the word, I should also add something to the south. If I add something to the east side of the word, I should also add something to the west.
Let’s apply these principles to make the “Merry” gift tag from The Holiday Box!
