How to make a wax seal chain

Supplies you'll need:

Christmas Village Wax Seal Stamp | Low-temp glue gun Sealing Wax | Gold Jump rings PaperClips | Handmade paper | Velvet Ribbon | Tissue Paper

How to make them:

First, press a seal for every color of the Christmas village that you’d like. I pressed a candy red, holiday green and dusty green seal. Then, cut out each of the houses. I’ve found it’s easiest to use an exacto knife instead of scissors.

Once you have all of your little houses cut out, place them back into the wax stamp. It works best if the stamp is a bit warm. You can warm it just using the body heat in your fingers. Turn the stamp upside down and if the houses don’t fall out then you’re ready to go to the next step.

Next, you’ll pour the final seal color (I used light green) and then press your stamp (with the wax houses in it). Let it cool for longer than normal. Once cool, remove the stamp. Then cut of the lips of these seals so that you are left with rectangles.

Now we’re ready to combine the seals together with the jump rings. I used a small hole punch (super small) and punched a hole in the top of the seal and also the bottom of the seal. Then use the jump rings to connect them together. I then attached them to the paperclip.

The last step is to attach the wax seal chain to the paper and add the ribbon. I cut the paper down to the height of the total wax seal chain. Then cut small slits to put the ribbon into. Then wrapped it around the gift and used tap to attach the ribbon to the back of the paper.

That’s it! I love how this turned out and I think there are so many fun possibilities with this technique!
