How to make wax seal ribbon

One of my most favorite ways to use wax seals in in gift wrapping!! An easy way to incorporate wax seals is add them to your ribbon as an embellishment!!

Watch the full YouTube tutorial here:

Supplies you'll need:

Sealing wax or crystal clear hot glue | Sealing Wax Stamp | Low-temp glue gun | Wide ribbon (at least 1”) | Krylon Gold Leafing Pen | Ice Pack

How to make them:

First warm up your sealing wax and/or hot glue in a low-temp glue gun. If using hot glue, make sure to place your stamp on an icepack, if the metal is cold it won’t stick to the glue.

Next, roll out your ribbon on a flat surface. Then pour the sealing wax onto the ribbon. Be sure to pour it into the same shape as the stamp. In the video, I’m using an oval stamp so I poured the wax into an oval shape. Then press with the stamp.

If using hot glue, sprinkle some glitter onto the ribbon, then pour the hot glue over the top and press with a cold wax seal stamp. Then use the Krylon Gold Leafing pen to add gold, or leave the stamp clear! Up to you.

I used some of my ribbon for a gift, but the rest I rolled back up so it’s ready to go next time I’m wrapping a birthday gift!! Wax seals on ribbons are super fun for birthdays, but also make a great addition to holiday gifts too!!
