I read an article the other day that was really helpful to me. It was about what to do when someone you love chooses a different path of faith than you. This is the part that stood out to me, “After all we can do, we love that person with all of our hearts and we watch, we pray, and we wait for the Lord’s hand to be revealed. All of us fall short of the glory of the Father (see Romans 3:23). All of us need the Savior’s Atonement to heal us. All of us are lost and need to be found.”
— Elder Brent H. Nielson.
I personally needed the reminder that it is not my job to judge or “fix”. It is my job to love, and pray and wait on the Lord.

Want to know about the behind the scenes of this painting? It was super rushed. I mean, kids. Have you ever rushed a project because of your kids? 🙋🏻♀️
Here's what happened: I had a nap time (so like 1.5 hours tops) to finish this piece. Because of that I didn’t fully think out the composition or the colors. I just went for it. I think it turned out fine, but putting time limits on art, makes it a little less enjoyable for me. Something I need to remember next time I’m rushing through a painting: just enjoy the process.
