How to make a Santa Wax Seal Gift Tag
Watch the full YouTube tutorial here:
Santa Wax Seal Stamp | Adtech Crystal Clear Hot Glue | silicon mat | Low temp glue gun | Krylon Gold Leafing Pen | Watercolor paper | red watercolor paint
How to make them:
First, make your hot glue seal. Place your wax seal stamp on an ice pack while the low-temp glue gun is heating up. Then, sprinkle some red glitter on top of parchment paper and pour hot glue over the glitter. Then press with the ice cold stamp. This is KEY! If the metal is cold, it won’t stick to the glue. Once cooled, remove stamp and paint on edge and raised design with a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen.
Second, make your tag. Trim some watercolor paper down to 5” x 2.25” and punch a hole in the top to make it a tag. Then use red watercolor paint to paint the bottom edge of the paper. Once dry you can add modge podge glue to the edge over the paint. Place a small strip of gold foil over the glue and let dry. Once dry, you can use a dry paint brush to remove excess gold foil.
Third, letter on your tag. I’m using a fine-liner drawing pen, but you could use anything you have on hand. You can letter on the tag horizontally or vertically.
Lastly attach the tag to a gift so it’s ready for Christmas!
