How to make a wax seal gingerbread gift bag
Watch the full YouTube tutorial here:
Supplies you'll need:
Merry Christmas Oval Wax Seal | Adtech Crystal Clear Hot Glue | Brown gift bag (any size will work) | Twine or ribbon | Krylon Gold Leafing Pen
How to make them:
First step is to prepare your bag. If the bag you are using has handles you’ll want to remove them. Then find the center of the bag and fold down one corner of the bag, then the other side. This will make the bag look like the roof of a house. Then, you’ll want to punch a whole in the center of the folded triangle. Do this on the other side as well.
Next step is to draw the house. I started by using a white sharpie paint pen, but it took about 6 coats to get the white to show up. So I opted to use a Pilot extra fine point gold paint marker and it worked really well! Not the traditional white look, but still a fun look! And I like that the pen is extra fine tip to get fine details.
Then you’ll want to add the wax seals. I used Adtech crystal clear hot glue and the pressed with wax seal stamps. Make sure to keep your stamps on an icepack before sticking them into the hot glue so that they don’t stick. Once cooled, remove the stamp and paint around the edges with a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen.
Lastly fill your gift bag with a small gift or treat and use twine to tie it together. What I love about this project is that it can be as simple or detailed as you’d like!
