Inspiration behind this penny

Cosmos flowers symbolize balance and joy in life—things I think we’re all striving for and hoping to hold onto (myself included!!) Much of life’s joy comes from giving—whether it’s our time, energy, or small card or gift. So the sentiment “for you” implies a quiet act of love and generosity—a reminder that joy often comes from what we share with others. On a personal note, I’ve always been drawn to all flowers. Growing up, my mom always planted them, and I remember helping her water them every summer. I always have fresh flowers in my home and I particularly love Cosmos. Flowers aren’t essential, but they bring so much light and joy—just like wax seals. They’re small, beautiful things that make everyday moments feel a little more special.

How to Use

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Sealing wax, penny and low temp glue gun.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Place sealing wax sticks in low temp glue gun and let wax melt (about 3 minutes).
When glue is warm, pour a .75” circle of wax (about one squeeze) onto parchment paper or silicone mat.
Press penny into center of poured wax and press down and let wax cool for 10-20 seconds.
Gently peel wax seal from stamp.
Note that the "for you" engraving works best with hot sealing wax and a lot of pressure.
